; }; Reagent provides the AI model through its own service, and you pay for the model's work with credits. Enterprise accounts use your organization's own [model endpoint](/docs/enterprise/custom-endpoint) instead of Reagent credits, so this page doesn't apply to you. Don't buy plans or credits, and if your work email still has an individual plan, [cancel it](/docs/enterprise/overview#how-an-account-becomes-enterprise). ## Plans | Plan | What you get | | --------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Free** (trial credits) | Free credits for new accounts, to try Reagent before you pay. The website dashboard shows this plan as **Free Trial**. | | **Lite**, **Pro**, **Pro+** | Monthly plans with a set number of credits per billing period. You can also buy add-on credits. | | **Enterprise** | A separate plan for organizations. [Contact Reagent](https://www.reaperagent.com/contact) to ask about it. | For current prices and what each plan includes, see [pricing](https://www.reaperagent.com/#pricing). You manage billing on the [website dashboard](https://www.reaperagent.com/dashboard/overview), not in the app. To open it, click **Manage Billing** in **Settings > Subscription**, or sign in at reaperagent.com/dashboard with your Reagent account. Polar handles Reagent's subscriptions and payments. When you pay for a plan or add-on credits, the new credits usually appear in the app within a few minutes (up to 5). If they don't, click **Refresh** in **Settings > Subscription**. ## How Credits Work Your balance can hold two kinds of credits, and Reagent uses your plan credits first: * **Plan credits** come with your trial or monthly plan. Trial credits never reset. Paid-plan credits reset to your plan's amount at the start of each billing period, and unused ones don't carry over. * **Add-on credits** are credits you buy on the website dashboard, on a paid plan. They're used only after your plan credits run out, and they never expire. ## What Uses Credits Every reply uses credits. Some tasks cost extra on top of that: | Task | Costs extra? | | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------- | | Helper agents, such as the **Wwise subagent** | Yes | | Automatic summaries of older parts of a [long chat](/docs/features/chat-interface#long-chats-and-the-context-ring) | Yes | | [Dialogue](/docs/features/dialogue) transcription, take analysis (including reading a PDF script you add) and translation | Yes. Transcription is charged by length of audio. | | UCS classification and audio analysis, such as silence, transient, loudness and spectrum checks | No, runs on your computer | | REAPER actions, such as editing items, rendering and running ReaScript | No, runs in REAPER | | Automatic chat titles | No, they're free | A reply costs more the more the AI model reads and writes, so these use more credits: * **Long chats.** Reagent sends the earlier conversation, or a summary of it, with every new message. * **Attachments.** Files you attach add to what the model reads. * **Big tasks.** A request that takes many steps uses the model at every step. To keep costs down, start a new chat when you switch to an unrelated task. ### Stopping a Reply [Stopping a reply](/docs/features/chat-interface#stopping-a-reply) doesn't give credits back, and the chat labels the stopped reply **Cancelled**. You're charged for work already finished. The step in progress also keeps running on the server until it ends, so it can still be charged in full even though you don't see the rest. ## Check Your Balance The bottom of the sidebar shows your name and plan name. Below them are a credit bar, which empties as you use credits, and your balance as **remaining / total**, with **(+N)** when you have add-on credits. They update on their own. * **remaining** is every credit you have left, including add-on credits. * **total** is how many credits your plan includes. * **(+N)** is how many of your remaining credits are add-on credits. Press `Cmd+,` (macOS) or `Ctrl+,` (Windows), or click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose **Settings**. Then open **Subscription**. | Item | What it shows or does | | ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | **Credits This Period** | Credits you have left, including add-on credits. The bar shows how much of this period's plan credits you've used. | | **Refresh** | Loads your latest balance, for example right after you buy credits. | | **Manage Billing** | Opens your reaperagent.com dashboard in your browser. | | **Upgrade** | On the **Free** plan only. Opens the pricing section of reaperagent.com. | The [dashboard](https://www.reaperagent.com/dashboard/overview)'s **Overview** tab has: * **Credit Balance.** Your **Remaining Balance**, **Plan credits** (left and total) and any **Add-on credits**, plus your plan and, on a paid plan, its renewal date. If you've canceled, it shows **Canceled** and the date your plan ends. * **Available Plans.** Each paid plan, with your plan marked **Current** and an **Upgrade to …** button on plans above yours. ## When You Run Out of Credits At zero credits, Reagent can't reply. If you send a message, the reply stops right away and the chat shows a **Credits Exhausted** card with one button: | Your plan | Button on the card | | ----------------------------------------------- | ----------------------- | | Free (trial credits) | **Upgrade Plan** | | Lite, Pro or Pro+ | **Buy Credits** | | An older plan that doesn't offer add-on credits | **Manage Subscription** | The button opens your dashboard to upgrade, buy add-on credits or manage your subscription. On a paid plan, you can also wait for your plan credits to reset at the start of the next billing period. Once you have credits again, resend your message. If you run out partway through a task, Reagent stops at its next step. Changes it already made in REAPER stay in your project, so check where it stopped before you continue. "Temporarily rate limited. Please try again in a moment." means the request was turned away because too many requests arrived in a short time. It doesn't mean you're out of credits. Wait a moment, then send your message again. ## Buy Add-on Credits Add-on credits top up your balance without changing your plan. The **Buy Credits** button appears only on a paid plan (Lite, Pro or Pro+). On the [dashboard](https://www.reaperagent.com/dashboard/overview)'s **Credit Balance** card, click **Buy Credits**. In the **Add credits** window, enter how many you want. The window shows the allowed range and the total price. Click the buy button, which shows the credits and price, and complete the checkout. ## Upgrade Your Plan On the [dashboard](https://www.reaperagent.com/dashboard/overview), under **Available Plans**, click **Upgrade to …** on the plan you want. What happens next depends on your current plan: * **Free (trial credits):** complete the checkout to subscribe. Your plan's credits replace any trial credits you have left. Add-on credits aren't affected. * **A paid plan:** the click changes your subscription right away, with no confirmation step. Polar immediately charges the prorated difference for the rest of your billing period. The plan shows **Activating** until the change comes through. ## Switch to a Cheaper Plan or Cancel The dashboard can't move you to a lower plan directly. To switch to a cheaper plan, or to stop paying, cancel first. On the [dashboard](https://www.reaperagent.com/dashboard/overview)'s **Credit Balance** card, click **Manage Subscription**. This opens Polar's billing portal. Cancel in the portal. The **Credit Balance** card then shows **Canceled** and your plan's end date, and you keep your plan and its credits until then. When the plan ends, its unused plan credits are removed, your add-on credits stay, and the app shows your plan as **Free**. After your plan ends and the app shows **Free**, click **Upgrade to …** on the cheaper plan under **Available Plans** and complete the checkout. The button still says Upgrade, even though the plan costs less. Deleting your account from the dashboard's **Account** tab is permanent. It cancels any active subscription right away, and you lose your remaining credits, including add-on credits.
